At Electric Power Systems (EPS) , we're not just designing batteries - we're revolutionizing the aerospace industry with cutting-edge energy storage solutions. If you're an experienced aerospace engineer with a passion for innovation, system optimization, and high-performance design, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
As an Aerospace Engineer IV , you'll play a pivotal role in developing next-generation aerospace technologies. From optimizing structural and electrical systems to ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, you'll be at the forefront of innovation. You will be responsible for researching and developing advanced aerospace structures and energy systems while analyzing system reliability, structural integrity, and material durability. Your role will also involve overseeing prototype flight tests, collecting real-world data, and implementing design improvements to drive performance and efficiency.
This position requires a deep understanding of aerospace regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance throughout the development process. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, evaluating new materials and emerging technologies that push the boundaries of aerospace engineering. In addition, you'll mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Your ability to refine internal engineering processes will enhance product development, system integration, and manufacturing efficiency, all while staying engaged with industry leaders to remain at the cutting edge of aerospace advancements.
To succeed in this role, you'll need a bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering and at least seven years of experience in aerospace systems engineering, structural analysis, or propulsion systems. A strong background in system validation, failure mode analysis, and structural stress analysis is essential, as well as proficiency in digital modeling tools such as CAE, 3D modeling, and simulation software. Familiarity with flight testing, data analysis, and performance evaluation techniques will be key, along with a deep understanding of aerospace environmental and EMI standards like DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461. Strong communication skills are also a must, as you'll be working closely with internal teams, customers, and regulatory bodies.
We'd love to see candidates with additional experience, including a master's degree in engineering, expertise in electric propulsion, lithium battery management, or hybrid-electric vehicles, and hands-on knowledge of aircraft power, control, and communication architectures. Experience with certification projects (TSO, STC, Experimental) and familiarity with aerospace databuses such as CAN, Ethernet, A429, RS232, RS485, and RS422 will also set you apart.
