The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide advanced-level administrative support functions to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Commissioner's Office. The Minnesota DNR is committed to working with all Minnesotans to conserve and manage the state's natural resources, to provide outdoor recreation opportunities, and to provide for commercial uses of natural resources in a way that creates a sustainable quality of life.
The Executive Assistant is part of a multi-person administrative support team that provides seamless coverage and support for all members of the Commissioner’s Office. The successful candidate for this position will work collaboratively and independently, under limited supervision, to support the Commissioner’s Office executives and other personnel in the execution of their responsibilities. This position also represents the Office of the Commissioner in communications and interaction with internal staff and external stakeholders. The successful candidate for this position must be highly motivated, function both independently and as an integral member of a team, produce accurate work products, anticipate and address issues proactively, and exercise prudent judgment in handling demanding, competing, and shifting priorities.
This position is primarily office-based. The employee may be eligible to telework on a limited basis, which is subject to change based on the needs of the office. If approved for telework, the employee would be required to complete a telework agreement.
In addition to the qualifications listed above, applicants must also meet the following criteria in order to qualify for the Exec 2 classification:
