Job Description

Lighthouse Lab Services is working with a large health care organization located in Charlotte, NC looking to add a Lab manager to their specimen processing team. This position requires strong leadership skills, a background in laboratory operations, and the ability to manage a large team while ensuring operational efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities :

• Team Management : Lead and manage a team of 20 direct reports, ensuring effective leadership, support, and guidance to staff members.
• Scheduling & Efficiency : Supervise the scheduling team to maintain operational coverage and efficiency throughout the lab.
• Training & Development : Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development opportunities to team members to promote professional growth and ensure the highest quality of service.
• Leadership : Foster a positive, supportive work environment to enhance team performance and maintain high standards of quality and patient safety.
• Operational Support : Maintain effective operations in specimen processing, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise in a timely and professional manner.

Required Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience : At least 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in Specimen Processing.
• Leadership : Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced laboratory environment is required.
• Skills : Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

Schedule :

• Temporary (First 90 Days) : 5:30 PM - 2:00 AM
• Permanent : 3:30 PM - Midnight (Monday - Friday with rotating weekends and holidays)

Compensation :

• Hourly Pay Range : $24.85 - $31.08/hr
• Sign-On Bonus : $5,000 (Full-Time)
• Relocation Assistance : Up to $4,000
